This August we have a team of Youth & Young Adults who are going on a short-term missions trip to Costa Rica to share the good news of the Gospel with young people. We are partnering with an organization called Inca Link. Their vision is to reach 300 million young peoiple in latin America. They are currently working in 8 countries, including Costa Rica.
To help our team raise the funds needed for this trip, we are doing a variety of fundraisers. Our first event fundraiser was a Pie Auction held on Sunday, April 14 between the end of our morning service and the start of our AGM.
Church family made and donated pies (40-50 pies) and we auctioned them off to the highest bidder. It was rapid fire bidding as we only had 2 mins per pie but it was a huge success and we want to express our gratitude for everyone's generosity in making pies and then bidding on them!
We raised over $6,000 from the pie auction and buy a slice of pie by donation during the luncheon.
